So, I guess I have a lot to report since my last post. I was waiting on getting pictures off my other computer but so far haven't made any progress:( Let's do a quick review...Hailey turned 5 in June, Uncle Jay got married in July out in Colorado, Hailey started school in August along with Aubrey starting a bottle (thank you Lord)and Austin becomming a BIG boy!

Three months old!!

Aubrey is almost 4 months but I will recap what she has done up til now...sorry for the late post! She has been such a blessing to us and I am thankful everyday for her. My prayer for her is that she will get over all her sicknesses. She fights each infection like a champ...still so hard to see her sick. She is the happiest little girl ever...we enjoy her smiles laughter and all she has to say. Aubrey is my biggest baby to date, weighing in at 12lbs 2oz at 3 months. She sleeps thru the night when feeling well...praying she will continue on with that soon. She has rolled over a couple times. She has also started joining us for dinner. It's crazy that she is sitting so well in her highchair...maybe she will be my only baby who will actually eat baby food. Stayed tuned....

Fun with the Lowe's

We had the privilege to stay with some friends when we went to Omaha last week. Abbey has 3 beautiful kids who were so kind to share their toys and rooms with us. The kids had an absolute blast and are still talking about their friends. Abbey and I contemplated taking the 6 kids out on the town but decided that we would be CRAZY if we did, so her husband John was nice enough to watch the kids so just the two of us could go out. Thanks for such a fun time.

Gymnastics Program

Both kids were involved in gymnastics this spring. They both loved going and learned a lot. Hailey was asked to be on the pre-competitive level in the fall...until then we have a lot of practicing ahead of us:) The kids are always saying, "watch me watch me" as they do summer saults and cartwheels in the living room. I can't believe that Aubrey is almost 3 months and I am just posting her 2 month pictures. We have been on the go doing this and that. Aubrey is growing so fast:( She is also proving to be my BEST sleeper, sleeping 8-9 hours!! Praise the Lord for that. We had a wonderful Easter with family and have celebrated grandma and grandpa's birthdays. We are also so excited to announce that our unlce Jay is getting married!!!! Little Helpers

The first question most people ask is how are the older two doing with Aubrey...the answer is GREAT. They are always wanting to help and never stop kissing her. Hailey is especially a big help...feeding her and "trying" to change her diapers. It has been so fun to see how much they love her and how proud they are to have her as their little sister. I feel so blessed with the 3 gifts God has given to me. "Every good and perfect GIFT comes from above"

One month ago today, God blessed us with the addition of Aubrey Christine. After a rough start she is home, happy, and healthy. We are starting to get into a new routine and all 3 kids are adapting well...I on the other hand am still not use ti the middle of the night feedings. Aubrey had been smiling quite often and I tell myself it's not b/c of gas...it's because she is a happy baby. She by far is my best eater, nursing well and taking a bottle. Thank you Lord. She weighes 8lbs 2oz and continues to outgrow her newborn clothes. It it so hard to believe that she is already one month...time has gone way too fast. My challenge has been to live each day to it's fullest and to enjoy every minute with my kids that God has given me.

Yesterday Aubrey took her first trip to Lincoln to go shopping and meet some new friends. We were lucky enough to visit our newest friend Beau Epp. We are praising God for his great health and safe arrival. Congrats to the Epp's.

18 day Check Up

Since Aubrey came home at almost 2 weeks old they postponed her 2 week check up to an 18 day old appointment. All went well and she is growing like a weed. We are so excited that she checked out well and so thankful for the healing that has been done in her little body. We are thanking Jesus everyday for Aubrey's life and for being her healer. Here are a few of the MANY photos that have been taken since we have been home.

Home Sweet Home

All 3 kids are asleep right now so I thought I would give you a quick update:

We finally came home Monday. Aubrey has been doing so well adjusting to the continuous noises from her older siblings. The first night was a little rough going to bed. Aubrey was so used to all the lights and sounds in the NICU that the quietness of the night kept her up...go figure. So now her lights are on in her room as well as music, and she seems to be more comfortable. She is growing up so fast and I can't believe that she is already 2 weeks old. It's kind of sad to me b/c I know the time will fly by and I want to enjoy every minute. Every time I look at her, I praise God for being her Healer and entrusting me to be her mommy. It's amazing at how much love you can have for someone so little. I sat worried a week ago that I would be afraid to take her home and God has answered my prayers and given me much needed peace and comfort having her home.

Today my mom left and the mommy of 3 finally felt what real life will be like. They all wanted me at the same time...we got thru those couple of minutes but I know that I have a lot of learning ahead of me!! Can't wait :) We have been so blessed to have great friends who have been providing meals for us. We have meals coming until the end of the month. I won't take one of them for granted...thank you to all who have contributed!!

God is GOOD...All the time

It has been a wonderful day...praising God for how far Aubrey has come. She has been off her oxygen since 1 am and was able to come to my room this afternoon. The kids finally got to come up and hold her and love her. Hailey is going to be such a great help...she loves her little sister. I was pleasantly surprised at how much Austin wanted to be with Aubrey and hold her too.

We are so excited to take Aubrey home, but a little anxious about how she will do. As I was reading today, I came across 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." I am praying that I won't let Satan rule me with anxious feelings but find peace in God who is able to do anything in His will.

Thank you God for be Aubrey's healer and for answering prayers. Thank you for your steadfast love. Thank you for the peace that surpasses all understanding. Thank you God for being good, all the time.

FAITH

**UPDATE** Just got back from Aubrey's midnight feeding and found out that she is back on 25mL of oxygen. I am a little bummed, but have faith that in time she will be off for good. Being patient is the hard part for me. Please continue to pray that she keeps fighting the battle.

Tonight as I was reading, the topic was FAITH. This is something that I have been questioning over the course of the week. Should I trust these doctors, are these doctors doing all they can to help Aubrey? And yes I can say, I have chosen to trust them. Why shouldn't I trust them? God has placed them in Aubrey's life for a reason and trusting them secures the fact that I have FAITH in what God is doing in Aubrey's life.

"All things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:23

"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved with various trials, that the genuineness of your faith...may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 6-7

Thank you God for the faith that you have given me in the midst of these various trials. Thank you for drawing me closer to you. Thank you for your unfailing love and comfort.

***Today marked a great day of peace and steps forward for Aubrey. Tests came back that her CRP levels went down as well as her white blood cell count. Thank you Lord for continuing to answer prayers. Tonight when I went to feed Aubrey, I was also greeted with the news that she was off her oxygen. We will see how the night goes, but I have faith that God will see her through yet another test.

Bath Time and More

**UPDATE** (Feb 26th)
Aubrey's CRP level did drop slightly tonight...we'll take any drop we can at this point. Praise the Lord.

Tonight Aubrey got her first bath! yay:) She didn't care much for it at first but then was ok with things. They put her on her tummy and she loved that.

Earlier this week the kids were able to go in and see their sister...Hailey can't wait for her to come home and Austin dosen't get it yet.

One Week Old

Today marks one week since Aubrey Christine was born. It's been a crazy week...God has been testing my patience. After a week, I feel that I should have passed but God isn't done working in that area. We had a set back as far as numbers go. This morning news came that Aubrey's CRP levels went up which mean she has more inflamation in her lungs, BUT all other levels were great and the fact that she is eating like a champ they have ruled out other issues. We are praying that tonight's tests will show improvement. Oh, and her chest xray today was clear so that is another positive. (sorry I am sll over the place!!) My mind is tired.

Come to Me...Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. -Matthew 11:28-29

Day 6

**Update**
Looks like we will be going home Monday. I am feeling a little bummed but glad that she will be in good hands and closely watched for 3 extra days. I came back from lunch to feed her and found out she was back on a low dose of oxygen but is still eating very well.

Today I sit in awe of the progress that Aubrey has made. All the nurses keep saying, "she was so sick, and now look at her". I am so thankful for everyone's prayers, they are working and most importantly, God is working in her little body. As of 4 this morning she was taken off all oxygen:) She has been bottle feeding very well and the nursing is coming along. Today will be another big day...removal of more lines and replacement of her IV. If you think about it please pray that when they draw her blood in the morning that she will be clear of infection so that we can go home on Friday.

"I will restore health to you and heal your wounds," says the Lord. Jer 30:17

On the lighter side, we have been joking that she dosen't want to be a "normal" thrid child who falls into the swing of things...she wants ALL the attention!!

Prayer is Powerful

Thank you all for your prayers...God is good. Aubrey is making baby steps but doing so well. She was able to come off of the high pressure oxygen and is now on low pressure...even at a lower level:) Thank you Jesus. We are hoping that if not tonight, that tommorrow she will be able to be tube feed.

...this verse is proving to be a true test for me over the course of today. Once again we are overjoyed that Aubrey is continuing to make baby steps. As of tonight they have lowered her oxygen 10% which is great:) If she continues on this path thru the night then we stay here in Hastings, but if they are unable to wean her slowly from the oxygen then we may be headed to Omaha. God is able and He can do anything...He is the one true Physican. I am so thankful for all of the prayers and support from all of you.

Aubrey Update

Today has been a day of ups and downs...right now we are on our way back up, praise the Lord. The doctors and nurses have been so good to us and continue to keep us updated on what is going on. The question has been, What is going on?? We were told at she may have to be flown to Omaha, at that point I started to worry. I know the doctors just want to cover everything but as a mom it was hard to hear. As of now, they are monitoring EVERYTHING and thinking that since she is now improving with the new approach that she may have a virus. We are praying that this is the answer and now we can move on from hear. Sean and I got to go in and see her and took a few pics:)

Aubrey Christine

On February 19th we were blessed with the arrival of Aubrey Christine. It all started with contractions the night of the 16th that continued hours on end. My doctor decided that she would break my water and the rest was history.

Aubrey was born at 3:28 pm weighing 6lbs 8oz and 19 1/4 inches long. She has been in the NICU since she was born which is not how we planned but we know that God will heal her in His perfect timing. Sean and I still get to hold her which makes it alot easier. We are still unsure why her oxygen levels are so low and continue to take it one day at a time. Please pray that God will continue to work in her little body. We are looking forward to begining life with her at home. Thanks for all of your prayers.

NESTING

So here I sit, still pregnant but having plenty of contractions. 'D' day is drawing near and I have mixed emotions. So excited about meeting our new addition but feeling a bit unorganized!! Unorganized because we just moved, AGAIN!! This is it...we are so happy and feel so blessed that God works in His own timing. We love our house and feel like this is our HOME...forever. I am so glad that we were able to get moved before the baby arrives. The kids love it here in the "country" and Hailey can't wait to ride the bus to school next year. God is good.

Move #1

Yes, we have moved again. This is part one of a 2 step process, I hope!! With Hailey starting school in the fall we decided that we would like to live in a different school district...Dist. 60. So crazy as we are or should I say I am, we decided to put our house up for sale the weekend before Christmas. We prayed that if God wanted Hailey in a different school that the house would sell and our prayers were answered. On Jan 1st we sold our house and 1 week ago today we moved into our temporary home.(good friends of ours are renting to us and we are overjoyed and feel blessed...thank you Trausch's) We are going to finally build after toying with the idea over the past 3 years. We feel so blessed that God answered our prayers and look forward to what He has in store for us over the next 9 months.

*9 tends to be our "lucky" number. Hailey was 9 months when we moved out of our first house, Austin was 9 months the next move and I am 9 months pregnant this move!!

Winter Days

We have been very busy these cold winter days...weddings, moving and preparing for the arrival of our newest addition.

My little brother was married to a sweet girl, Korrie. We are so happy for them and can't wait to create many memories. Congrats Will and Korrie.

We haven't had a ton of snow this winter, but enough for yhe kids to enjoy a day in the cold with their daddy.

We also had the kids playgroup over to decorate cookies. More cookies were eaten than decorated:)

The following day Sean and I took a trip to Chicago...our last getaway before our 3rd miracle arrives. It was Sean's first time there and he loved it. (For those who know Sean...he hates big cities.) We did a ton of shopping, walking and eating. The last night there we went to the Bulls v. Knicks NBA game. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the simple things in life...eating an entire meal w/out kids yelling:) Our mothers were nice enough to take the kids for us...thank you moms.

Hailey ended her first semester of school with a christmas program celebrating Jesus' birthday. She a little part and suprisingly enough she said it...way to go Hailey. The are so grown up from last year. It has been a true blessing all that Hailey has learned at school. She likes the idea of Santa but knows the true meaning of Christmas.

December has been a busy but funfilled month. It began with a trip to Kearney to see Disney on Ice. The kids loved seeing all of their favorite characters. The show was 2 hours long and the kids sat thru the entire thing:) We hope to take them back again next year. I think Sean even enjoyed it just a little!!

Our Meeting with Santa...did he listen?

My mom and I took the kids to see Santa in Lincoln the day after Thanksgiving. Hailey has been scared ever since she was 6mos old...4 years later she was able to sit on his lap and not be scared. I bet she was glad now, looking back...Santa brought her a Barbie jeep that she's been asking for:)

Austin on the other hand was unsure of who this big guy was...he sat next to him but not on his lap. Oh well maybe next year.

25 Weeks

Today I had yet another doctor visit...all went well except for one thing, the scale!! I am measuring right on, so 15 more weeks and we will meet this little miracle. I am so thankful for the energy that I do have to get through each day! In my Bible study this week, we are reading 1 Kings 19 and 20 and in chapter 19:4 Elijah is speaking to the Lord and say's, "I have had enough Lord". Some days I feel this and wonder how I will make it thru another day...but God always shows Himself as he gives me strength to take on another day. Thank you Lord for all the extra strength for each new day.

Last night we got to watch what Hailey has been learning at dance this year. I was so impressed at what this little girls knew, they have come along way since last year. They even did an entire dance with no help. We are looking forward to the recital in May. You go girls.

Go Big Red

This year Hailey dressed up as a Husker cheerleader and Austin was a football player. Maybe by the time Austin is old enough to play, the Huskers will have a better team. Austin and I went downtown trick or treating in the beautiful 70 degree weather...couldn't have asked for a better day. This was the first year that Austin actually got it, I think. After he received his first piece of candy, he thought he had to give it to the next person...got to love his generosity!!! The kids enjoyed handing out candy to all the kids and haven't asked for any candy for themseleves...good thing b/c I threw it all out. Hope everyone had a fun and safe night.

Halloween and more...

The kids and I started the week out by carving a pumpkin...first time for me and boy was my arm sore!! Hailey loved the seeds and guts of the pumpkin, and Austin wasn't sure about it...all he kept saying was icky, icky. It was fun none the less. On Thursday, Hailey went to a Haunted House camp where she learned how to make haunted houses out of all the goods. I think it was half eaten by the time we arrived home.
She enjoyed the morning with her good friends.

I am happy to report that we had a good report from the doctor. Our ultrasound looked great and Dr. Pankratz was able to see all that he needed to. PTL! He also was able to tell us that there was NOTHING between HER legs...it's a GIRL!!! Hailey is so excited to have a little sister and to share all her toys, or so she says. We are just so thrilled to know that God has taken care of this little one. Good is good.

20 Weeks and counting...

Well we have reached the half way point for the arrival of our third blessing! I was looking forward to posting that the ultrasound went great and that we were expecting a _______! BUT God had other plans for this past Tuesday. His plans and not mine!!! I guess He is still teaching me b/c I haven't fully grasped the concept!?!? So, no new news to report yet...stay tuned for next week! We will just continue to pray that God will hear our prayers and answer them in His timing.

Party at the YMCA

We celebrated with Austin's little friends at the YMCA just as we did for Hailey's birthday. The YMCA has become like our second home...Austin loves playing there! We once again had a pizza party and very "colorful" football cupcakes.

This past weekend we celebrated Austin's 2ND birthday. We had all the family come over for his favorite...pizza! We went back and forth as to what the theme should be Elmo, Thomas the train or Balls and the winner was balls!! The big gifts this year were Thomas the Trains!! It was a blast to see the excitement on his face, knowing it was his day. He was nice enough to let Hailey open but after that the gifts were "mine"!
At his 2 year check up the doctor was a little concerned about his vocabulary and suggested we see a speech therapist. I was hesitant and had told them to give us little time. Well over the weekend I think he added about 20 words to his vocab and is adding more everyday...who says something is wrong just b/c they choose not to talk!! Hmm, I think he may be just like his father...a thinker!

Our trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Sunday, Sean was home so we took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch. Hailey has been begging to go and was so glad that daddy could join us. It was a warm day, but enjoyable to say the least. The kids each got to pick out their own pumpkins...Hailey's was small and Austin wanted a the big one! Hailey said her favorite part was the "gunny sack" slide...I think Austin enjoyed it just as much.

Husker Game

Sean and I got to go to the Husker game this weekend...even though they lost it was still such a fun time. Sean and I always try to make one game a year...it brings back the memories of the first days and weeks we took getting to know eachother. We happend to sit in the same "block" of tickets a mutual friend got together, and the rest is history!! Go Big Red.

Autumn Days...or is it still Summer?!?

As most of you know, we have been spoiled by such beautiful weather. I had decided to have the kids pictures taken as I do every Fall before it was too cold out. Little did we know that it would be sunny and 80 the day I clothed my children in long-sleeves and pants!! They were great troopers and didn't complain a bit...I did!! I guess I can b/c I am pregnant, right? Anyways, a friend from Lincoln came to town and took pictures and I am so happy at the way they turned out. Thanks Steph!! Here are some of my favs.

Many Choices...too many choices??

So most of you know that I have PICKY eaters. Something I don't wish upon anyone. I think my mom doomed me when she said, "I hope your kids treat you the way you treat me." Let me tell you, they do. I may have it worse tho...she said I was picky but not nearly as picky as Hailey and Austin. So, I have started a new meal plan with help from a blog I have been reading. I will give my child their plate with at least 5 choices, all that I seem are healthy for them and then they can choose to eat one are all of them. Tonight was the trial run and I feel they did pretty good. These are before and after photos of their plates!! You may laugh and say much isn't gone BUT for these Vontz kids this is a great start! If anyone had anyother ideas of how to feed PICKY eaters please let me know. Dinner time is the most trying time in my household and the time when I need the most patience, so if you think of it pray for me! I know this is one of God's ways of teaching me. bon appetit.

Austin wanted to pretend to earn a cubbies vest too...he did say the verse but still has a couple years. He just wants to say hi. He and mommy spent time togther tonight playing a listening to the baby's heart beat. He loves to do that and was so excited...he's all about the baby right now!!! We'll see how he'll feel in 5 months.

Cubbies

Tonight Hailey was able to say her bible verses and cubbies motto. She earned her book, vest and bag. As soon as we got home she wanted to try it on and start learning her verse for next week. It has been such a blessing to me that she has been so excited and willing to learn. Her verse for the week was "God loved us...and sent His son." I can't believe she is in cubbies...it seems like yesterday when I was there learning my verses for each week. I am praying that she will continue to have this passion and desire for the Lord all the days of her life.

It is officially fall in the Vontz household. Sean is just beginning his last, but BIGGEST job of the year which is hard to believe but we are looking forward to him being home more this winter. Hailey has started her 2ND year of preschool, 2ND year of dance and Cubbies at church. We are so excited for her and look forward to seeing her mature this school year. It was so awesome, the first night home from Cubbies and both kids were reciting the verse of the week, yes both kids. Crazy I know. The verse was, "God loved us and sent His son". I truly look forward to hearing more of that this year too. Hailey hasn't had a hard time adjusting but Austin has. He misses his playmate when she is gone. I chose to put him in Kindermusik this year and look forward to our one on one time. Hard to believe he will be 2 in a month. Boy how times flies.

We just moved Austin from his toddler bed to a Big bed covered in, you guessed it BALLS. He loves it and is so proud of it. i think his favorite part is having a place to jump...maybe I should have put him in gymnastics!! I think we have enough on our plates for now. End of Summer

Well the end of summer has come and gone and fall has started. I was so ready for summer and now SO ready for fall and loving this weather. We had a great summer spending time with good friends and being outside. I think the highlight was swimming everyday...for the kids anyways. We also were invited by some good friends to go boating...this was a first for the kids and they LOVED it. Hailey even went tubing with her friend Libby. This summer was also a first for Austin, in that he transitioned from a crib to a toddler bed. We found out in June that we are expecting our 3rd child in late February, and that he would be needing to move on out! The kids are so excited and so are we. Here are a few pictures to sum up the end of summer.

We bought Austin a golf set...plastic that is and he loved the concept but couldn't figure it out! He kept hitting the ball like a baseball! Needless to say, it was hilarious watching him.

So, I know that it is approaching the end of July but thought I would still post pictures of the kids from our festivities. This was the first year we went to the country club for the "big party". The kids had the most fun...who wouldn't when there were at least 6 different bounce houses and unlimited train rides. Seems to be the hit these days. This was also Austin's first year to be awake for the fireworks...surprisingly he wasn't scared a bit, he actually was oohing and awing. We were able to share the weekend with both of our families and enjoyed the extra time together.

Going thru the tunnel

Well it's been a month since the last post and I am very sorry. It doesn't mean that we haven't been busy...I finally received all the pictures off my mom's camera. We went to the Lincoln Zoo a couple weeks ago, the kids loved it but the train was the biggest hit! They both also loved riding the horses but Hailey was a little grossed out by you know what!! We have had a great summer...can't believe it's the end of July.

Relay for Life Walk

This past weekend I participated in the Cancer walk here in Hastings. We had a team of 11 and were named the Healing Heroes. We even had a team mascot...a manikin dressed just like us w/ and tutu and princess get up. If there was a team spirit award, we would have won! The walk started at 6pm and lasted til 6am...we only lasted til about 3am! It was a ton of fun doing this for a close friend who is a cancer survivor.

Hailey and Austin went out to swim at the Vontz's...Austin wasn't too sure about the water idea, but Hailey broke him in nice and slow!! NOT, he was soaked and loved every minute. They both wanted to stay longer.

We threw Hailey's first party, for her 4th birthday. She had 10 little girl friends play at the FunCenter here in Hastings. It was a My Little Pony party. She had a blast with all of her friends and wanted it to last all day long. She might be the girl who parties til the sun goes down, there's no stopping her.

The Hastings "Circus"

We decided to venture out and try the circus...hmmm, not much there bet the kids loved every minute. Austin sat on my lap the entire time in awe of the tigers and the elephants. Hailey enjoyed the food...cotton candy and popcorn! This may be the last time I post pictures of the "Hastings" circus...I hope!

Showtime

Friday night was the big recital that Hailey has been looking forward to since she started dance in September. All the girls did so well. I asked Hailey what her favorite part of the night was and she said dancing! Sean asked if this was the last recital he would ever attend and I told him it is only the beginning. Her class performed 3 times...ballet, tap and tumbling.

We got to spend the day out at the Vontz's. It was beautiful out that day and the kids got to play outside and help their Grampy mow, while their dad slept!!

Preschool Graduation

Hailey had her preschool graduation Thursday morning with a program and miniature golf. She is already talking about next year and how she can't wait to go back. She is defiantly not her mothers child in the respect, wait til she has homework! We really enjoyed her teachers and all the new things that she was able to experience.

Well, I am happy to report that I completed my first half marathon. Some friends form Hastings decided 6 weeks ago that we all had the same goal of completing a race. We trained to walk the 13.1 miles but little did we know, we would run the entire race. Needless to say I was SORE for a couple of days but it was well worth it. Now I am looking forward to our next adventure.

Preschool Fun Swim

Christmas in April

We finally broke down and bought the kids a swingset. Because of all the rain, Sean was able to be home and spend his entire sunday (5 hours) putting it together. The kids love it and so do I!!! I didn't think Austin could handle the big kid swing, but once he was on it, he didn't want off.

The kids took me to Eileen's for my birthday...I think they enjoyed the cookies more than I did!! Austin picked out an ELMO cookie and Hailey picked out a rainbow cookie. They pick whichever cookie has the most frosting...just like their grammy.

Hailey is involed in a soccer camp that Hastings College is putting on. She is into her third week and loves it. Austin also joined her yesterday for a little bit...Hailey was nice to include him.

Austin took swimming lessons at the YMCA. He didn't like it...it was too cold for him! Hope he likes the waterpark this summer. Roller Derby...athletic, but stylish.

Last week we took a couple of Hailey's friends and Grandma KK to the museum. They all had a blast dressing up and grocery shopping. They even practiced for their "gig".

Future Bowling League

Hailey's class went on a field trip to the bowling alley today. She scored a 65 and came in 2nd. They had so much fun...I even wanted to join in. The ball was quite big for Hailey to handle, I asked her to look at me for a picture and she turned around with a look like "I am about to drop this ball!" Her balls did take quite awhile to hit the pins...it was a SLOW game.

We had all of our family here for Easter...it was so much fun sharing the day with all of them. The kids had their "sundae" best on. Hailey's dress was called Neapolitan. She LOVED getting all dressed up, it's what she does best.

Hailey's class had an Easter egg hunt at school last week. The Easter bunny did come for a visit, but she was deathly afraid of him. She did enjoy all the eggs she collected, especially the treats inside.

My mom and I ventured out to St. Louis to throw a baby shower for my cousin. The kids came along and had a great time...dispite the plane ride and Austin's tummy ache! It was great to see family and spend time with them, too bad it's only once a year if we are lucky. We'll have to change that. All in all it was fun.

Last Saturday Hailey got all dressed up to go meet some princesses and superheros at the museum. She dressed up as Snow White and her friend Libby was Cinderella. They had a blast, and enjoyed dressing up for the day.

Valentine Creations

Today, Hailey and Austin made valentine cards for their grandparents. Hailey cut out the hearts all by herself and Austin put a little color on them. Hailey is into writing so it was fun for her to actually write, not scribble on her very own v-day cards. We also made some heart cookies and took them over to her friend Libby, who is sick. It has been fun doing crafts with Hailey because she is so proud of her work!!

Ski Trip

Sean and I got away for the weekend without the kids. We went skiing with Sean and Jess Ablott out in Colorado. Our car ride was quite an adventure from Denver to the mountians...snow like you wouldn't believe, Sean only driving 2mph and a Dodge pickup on fire!! We made it though and enjoyed the slopes and nights out with out friends.

Hailey went to Lincoln for the weekend and Austin went out to the Vontz's. They both had blasts and didn't miss us at all...until we got home. It was great to see them. Our parents are so nice to take them and let us go for the weekend!! Love you guys.

The New HairDo

Despite the many inches of snow today, we ventured out to the Salon. The kids were both due for a haircut. Hailey asked that she not get a boy haircut but a Princess cut. So that is what she got...sparkles and all. Of course when we got home she had to get the dress on.

Hailey had PJ day at school last week...they all wore jamies and took there sleeping bags and pillows! They have had many other fun days and field trips...the fire station, police station and the cookie store!

Our trip to Cabo

We all went to Cabo San Lucas, MX with my family. It was great to get out of the cold and lay around in the sun for an entire week. The kids loved the pool...it was our daily event. We did make it to the beach a couple times but Austin wasn't too keen on the idea of COLD water. Sounds like he is like his parents...Hailey on the other hand loved the cold ocean water and played for hours. Sean also took Hailey on her first Jet Ski ride...photos to come!

We had a busy but enjoyable Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve in Lincoln with the Lewis family and came back to Hastings and spent Christmas Day with the Vontz's. Santa did stop at our house first so we were able to enjoy our morning just the four of us. Hailey was really into the opening part of the presents and Austin, well he enjoyed watching everything his sister did. I think that we are "balled" out this year...that was the big gift for Austin!!
